battling the dark side

All Wyatt cared about was the Galactic portion of our trip.  Poor kid had to wait until Thursday to experience Jedi Training.  We got to the park before they opened to line up and secure a spot for all three kids.  Thankfully, we were early enough to get a spot.  If we hadn't, we fully planned on going back the next day to try again.  So glad it worked the first time though.

Ella was the first to go.

Then Wyatt.  I fully expected him to chicken out once he saw the bad guy up close and personal.  But he stuck with it and battled the dark side.  And loved it.

Last up, Wilson.  He had been studying the moves and had it down pat.

the big build up, and the big let down (AK)

Will was the MOST excited about visiting Animal Kingdom!  The rest of us were just along for the ride.

Though everyone agreed the safari ride was pretty awesome (we rode it twice!).  We loved seeing all the animals up close and personal.

But the part the kids are still talking about is seeing an elephant taking care of business.  These three LOVE some potty humor.

ALL day long Will waited for our fast pass time for Expedition Everest.  It was after dinner.  He was SO excited to finally be in line.  Sadly, that joy was short lived.  The second we got off he seriously regretted the decision to ride.  And has sworn it off until he's at least 23.  Poppy, Chris and I thought it was pretty awesome and were hoping he wanted to ride again.  No such luck!

SO many characters

I didn't anticipate the kids wanting to meet many, if any, characters. But Wyatt decided he liked Mickey Mouse.  So we met him the first evening.  And kept on meeting our Friends every where we went.  Turns out Ella was the most excited about these encounters.....

magical memories, part 1

In January we started planning from a Magical fall break vacation.  And we kept it a secret for the entire year!  A week before we left we told the kids and surprised them with bags full of Magical goodies.

Up first, Magic Kingdom.  We had zero expectations.  Especially since Wyatt and Ella had never been on anything other than a carousel in their lives!

Their very first ride was the 7 Dwarfs mine train.  Wyatt was not a fan.  Ella was a fan, until one last drop (after she thought the ride was over), and then she decided she was NOT a fan of roller coasters.  No worries, she later decided she loved it.

And yes, Mimi & Poppy joined us on our magical vacation.
And I must thank them for making the exhausting trip with us. Between the million potty visits, snacks and meltdowns we were beyond thankful to have the adults out number the kids.  And thankful to share all the magical memories with them there.
