Let the festivities begin!

Up first, Wyatt's pumpkin patch party at preschool. Digging for candy in the hay. Decorating pumpkins. Coloring leaves. And Wyatt's fave, horse races. Too bad it was wet outside again this year. (His last here!!!)

camp-out time!

Will recently joined Trail Life (a scouting type program). One event he was most looking forward to was the first camp-out. I'm not sure what he loved the most; the hayride, smashing pumpkins, bee-bee practice or camping with Dad. Bonus points that cousin Jack is also in Trail Life!

He can't wait to go again! Chris isn't as eager to sleep on the ground again any time soon.

Same opponents. Same game more or less. But I just love pics of my kids doing what they love. Wy got close to making a touchdown. And we were all pretty excited about that.  one day....

Ella's first field trip!

Ella has been eagerly anticipating her first field trip. Chris went with her and she was thrilled. A really long bus ride was her favorite part. But she loved the corn maze and all the fun things to play on. Her second field trip is in a few weeks.

part 2 of Fall Break, finally

The rest of our time at Stone Mountain was spent working on obstacle courses, taking a train ride, checking out pumpkin displays and watching a 4D movie. We ran out of time to do the miniature golf, thankfully the kids didn’t notice.  We had a great time.  And can’t wait to go back one day!

fall break, part 1

The kids were on fall break all of last week.  While many of their friends were at the beach or Disney we stayed home.  Lots of library time.  Bowling.  Pumpkin Carving.  And a quick day trip to Stone Mountain.  A first for all five of us.

These are the pics of us exploring the top of the mountain.  The kids were super disappointed we didn’t hike up or down.  We told them maybe when they were much older.  Maybe.

Pumpkin time

Time to carve the kids pumpkins. Of course, all three had very specific pumpkin plans. And Ella is the only one who half heartedly participated. But everyone had a blast playing so that's all that really counts.
Will requested a Pokemon character. Ella wanted a ninja. And Wyatt wanted a football pumpkin. So he got a TN "T" and as a bonus his team won today.

More bday fun

Nothing says bday fun like a build clinic at the hardware store. But it was raining and soccer/football games were cancelled. And did I mention it was free. So yeah, we went. And the kids had a blast!  Minus the small incident where my thumb and Will's hammer collided it was all good fun.

Birthday weekend

If you're going to turn 39 you might as well celebrate all weekend long.
We decided it was time for the kids to experience bowling. We had low expectations but it went really well. All used the bumpers. And some used the "helper" to roll the ball. But after a few frames they all had a great time trying to run the ball up there. Of course, they were all really excited about the game room.
