First time "camper"

Wilson has waited almost 6 months to attend zoo camp. He was so excited when I registered him this winter for it. The big day approached and he was majorly let down. I think he was expecting some major animal encounters. More than deer, peacocks, rabbits and turtles.

The camel ride was a highlight. As was the carousel ride. And he did get to watch the animals being fed and seemed to enjoy watching them go nuts for food. So that was a plus.

He was a "camper" and endured the heat and boredom for the rest of the week. And is making bigger plans for next summer. 😄

Party Time!

Ninja party time! We had a small rain delay but by the time every one finished their pizza, the rain had cleared and the weather cooled off. It was the perfect night to swim. Wyatt and Ella had the best time celebrating their birthdays with friends and cousins.

welcome to…

the dark side.  Wyatt loves a good villain.  And Darth is is fave!  Owning a Vader costume has been on his wish list for a very long time.  And the day finally arrived! Naturally, he suited up the second he finished unwrapping his gifts.  And not to be left out, Wilson needed to suit up.  Representing the good side, of course.  And a fun night of battles ensued.  The perfect ending to Wyatt’s birthday.

the birthday boy’s day…

Chris woke up with a raging case of strep throat on Wyatt’s birthday.  So a few of our plans changed but I don’t think Wyatt noticed.  Pancakes with sprinkles for breakfast.  Lunch with Mimi and Poppy, and donuts.  And gifts!  Of course.  All Star Wars, of course.

Dinner of Wyatt’s choice, pizza.  And his long awaited Storm Trooper cake “with one oreo on top”. But the birthday boy was too busy with his gifts to enjoy cake.  And as I tucked in my newest five year old I promised him cake for breakfast the next day.  And he most definitely held me to my promise the next day!2015-07-07

Five. Really?!

Wasn't he just a baby?!!
The littlest turned five this week. Hard to believe.
And keeping with family tradition we had waffles with sprinkles and a candle, of course.
More details from our newest five year old's special day later...
