About 18 months ago we took Will and Ella to the eye doctor, both got the all clear. Though the doctor suspected Ella might need glasses before she started Kindergarten. So last week we went back to make sure everyone was still okay. Prior to the appointment, we prepared Ella for the possibility of needing glasses. We went over and over it. She was prepared. Too bad we prepared the wrong child for glasses…
Ella’s eyes are still doing good. Though glasses for reading will probably be needed eventually. But Will was not so lucky. Apparently, he’s like his Momma and needs glasses for distance. Poor guy is not thrilled with this idea. We’re praying the green glasses he picked out will make him feel super cool! And hopefully, he will have the summer to get use to them before going back to school.
Hopefully he will let me sneak a few pictures of him in his new green specs!

These two had their last day of preschool the week before Wilson. And, of course, this is Ella’s last day of PreK EVER! She was a tad bit excited.

Ella has looked forward to graduation for weeks! The big day arrived and she quizzed us constantly on who all would be there to witness the big event. She marched in to the Pomp and Circumstance. Sang about being able to do ALL THINGS. And then her official goodbye song. As her teacher handed her the “diploma”, she included that Ella wanted to be a Spy Ninja when she grows up. And with that she had graduated!

Better late than never, Easter pics!
This year, Wyatt requested matching ties with Daddy. Will said “NO WAY” and was fine only having matching shorts. So blue seersucker for the win….for all! Except Mommy. Because 4 coordinating outfits is a lot of work!
Another busy Easter day, and not a lot of pics this year. But a fun day for all.

the last of our beach pics… all that fun caught up with Wilson. He was getting kind of grumpy and asked for snuggles. I scooped him up and rocked him and he quickly went to sleep. And I was more than happy to snuggle and let my nearly 7 year old sleep in my lap for as long as possible.
And that is the end of our fabulous week at the beach. The kids had a great time. They got along fabulously, and were so well behaved. Honestly, I was shocked. And thrilled. And proud of us. It was a successful adventure!!! And lots of fun memories were made.

We quickly settled into a routine at the beach. Mornings at the beach, followed by a pre-lunch swim at the pool. Lunch and quiet time for my three while J & R napped. Then back to the beach and pool before dinner and bed. We were brave the first night and attempted dinner out to celebrate Renee’s birthday. And while we did survive, we decided a repeat performance was not needed.

Ella had her visit to the orthopedic on Tuesday. We were worried what kind of news we’d receive…it was great news. Only 3 weeks in the cast and she should be as good as new! She handled the appointment wonderfully and breezed through the x-rays.
Ella chose green for her cast. Surprised us ALL. But green is a lot of her favorite peoples color, and it’s the color of her favorite ninja on Ninjago.
Here’s hoping the next three weeks fly by!

It’s taking me awhile to get all of my pics together from Spring Break…. but long story short, we were invited to the beach over Spring Break with my cousin, Renee, and her two boys. I’m not sure what made me think it was a good idea, but I was all in.
Two Mama’s + 5 kids under 6 = chaos
Actually, it wasn’t nearly as chaotic as you’d imagine. It was surprisingly easy, and somewhat peaceful and quiet. Somewhat. But definitely FUN!
